Comparison
AEO agencies in Singapore, compared honestly
By Isaac Yap, Technical Lead, IonicX AI·
We are one of the agencies on this list, so read it with that in mind. We have tried to make it useful anyway: the criteria are stated, our competitors are described fairly, and we have put ourselves last with a narrow scope — because on the search terms this page is about, our own site currently ranks around position 60, and we publish that.
There is no ranking from one to five here. We can see our own results and nobody else’s, and inventing an order would be exactly the thing this page is meant to stand against.
How to judge any of them
Five questions worth asking on the first call. They work on us too.
Do they publish dated, bylined work?
Answer engines weight freshness and authorship. An undated page is a weaker citation candidate.
Do they show you what AI engines actually return?
The only honest proof in this field is a query you can run yourself.
Do they separate readiness from outcomes?
Nobody controls whether ChatGPT cites you. Structure, schema and coverage are the deliverable; citation is the hoped-for result.
Are they cited by anyone other than themselves?
The strongest signal in this whole field, and the easiest to check — search their name and see who else mentions them.
Do they publish prices?
Not a quality signal on its own, but it tells you whether you are the right size for them before the first call.
The agencies
OOm
Best for: Established businesses wanting a long track record
Trading since 2006 and one of the most visible search agencies in Singapore. Their generative-engine work sits alongside a large traditional SEO practice. If you want an agency your board has heard of, this is the shape of it.
Visit OOm →First Page Digital
Best for: Larger budgets and multi-channel campaigns
A big performance-marketing agency with an AI-search offering attached. Strongest when search is one line in a wider paid and organic plan rather than the whole engagement.
Visit First Page Digital →AI Studio
Best for: Businesses that want AEO treated as its own discipline
The most directly comparable to us: small, AI-native, and publishing openly about answer-engine work. Their AEO page is, in our view, the clearest explanation of the discipline currently written by a Singapore agency — including sections showing what AI engines actually return.
Visit AI Studio →Stridec
Best for: B2B and considered-purchase companies
Publishes dated, bylined comparison content and keeps it updated, which is itself the behaviour that earns citations from answer engines. Worth reading their material before you brief anyone.
Visit Stridec →Hashmeta
Best for: Brands wanting search folded into social and content
A broader digital agency with generative-engine optimisation among its capabilities. Suits companies who do not want to manage separate specialists.
Visit Hashmeta →IonicX AI
that’s usBest for: Singapore SMEs under about S$1,000/month who want the build and the AI-readiness in one place
Us. We build the website and do the AEO/GEO work on it rather than optimising someone else's build, which suits smaller businesses who do not want two vendors. We are last on this list deliberately: on the search terms this page is about, our own site currently ranks around position 60, and we publish that number rather than hide it.
How we do it →Questions
What is an AEO agency?
An agency that works on whether AI answer engines — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google's AI Overviews, Gemini — can understand and cite your business. In practice it overlaps heavily with good SEO: clear structure, schema markup, genuine answers to real questions, and being mentioned in places the models trust.
How is AEO different from SEO?
SEO is about convincing a ranking algorithm to place you in a list of links. AEO is about being the source an answer engine quotes when it writes a paragraph. The technical work overlaps a great deal. The difference is that AEO rewards being quotable and being mentioned elsewhere, where SEO rewards relevance and links.
Can any agency guarantee I will appear in ChatGPT?
No, and be wary of one that says otherwise. No agency controls what a third-party model retrieves or cites. What an agency can be accountable for is readiness — structure, schema, coverage, entity clarity — and for measuring what changes afterwards.
How was this list put together?
By looking at which agencies actually surface for AEO and AI-search queries in Singapore, then reading their public pages. It is a qualitative list. We have not ranked them one to five, because we cannot see anyone's results but our own, and pretending otherwise would be the kind of claim this page exists to avoid.
You included yourself. Isn't that biased?
Yes, and so is every list like this — including the ones we are not on. We have handled it by putting ourselves last, scoping ourselves narrowly to the segment we actually serve, and publishing our own search ranking, which is currently worse than everyone else's on this page.
If we are the right size for you
We suit Singapore SMEs who want the website and the AI-readiness handled together rather than by two vendors. If your budget is well above that, one of the others above will serve you better — say so and we will tell you which.
How this page was made, and its limits
Compiled 3 September 2026by looking at which agencies surface for AEO and AI-search queries in Singapore and reading their public pages. Descriptions are qualitative and based on what each agency publishes about itself; we have deliberately not quoted anyone’s prices, client counts or results, because we cannot verify them. If you run one of these agencies and think your entry is unfair, tell us and we will change it.
